Happy Anniversary, Paul!! Paul and I have been married 9 years today! It's hard to believe it's been that long! No, every day hasn't been perfect, but the past 9 years have been the happiest of my life. Paul completes my life in so many ways. He makes me feel special even when I don't think I deserve it. He has given me the two most beautiful children I have ever laid eyes on. I can only hope that the next 50 years are as good as the first 9!!! Love you, Paul!
Change of subject, but please keep the Maddox family in your prayers. It looks like baby girl Maddox is going to make her big entrance sooner than expected!

One Proud Mommy!!!
Addi's team played their last game tonight. :0( I'm really going to miss it! Since it was the last game, they didn't really keep score because it didn't matter who won. They had a blast and Addi hit every time at bat again!!
After the game, they had closing ceremonies. All the kids got a "participation" trophy and Addi was as happy as she could be. Then the announcer said they had one special award called "The Most Outstanding Player." He said it wasn't necessarily who was the best player, but also someone with a good attitude and someone who did what was asked and loved to play. I had already put my camera up when he said, "And this award goes to---- ADDI KELSEY!" What??? I was so excited for her!! I had tears of pride in my eyes. There was only one award like this given for the whole league!!! No, she didn't make all-stars or have the best batting average, but I guarantee noone had more fun this year than Addi!
Here's a picture of Addi with Coach Jan. The medal she has on is the one she got for Most Outstanding Player in the Sweetees league!!!

Below is a video of Addi's favorite part of all the games- the Sweetees Cheer! Notice a couple of things: 1- Addi throws her glove before anyone else and 2- she's the last one to find her glove at the end!
We're so proud of Addi for how well she did this year! I can only imagine the possibilities for her as she gets older! Also, thanks to Addi's huge fan club! It meant a lot to all of us to always have a lot of people there to watch her!

Ladybugs Clobber Pink Panthers!
Addi's team won big last night! Everybody had a great game. Addi didn't do as well batting as she has been, but still got one great hit. She only got to bat 3 times last night.
I haven't posted any pictures in a while, so here are a few from the game last night! The Ladybugs got so far ahead that Addi got to play in the circle again last night. She loves that! For anyone who hasn't seen Addi play yet, you have two more chances! She's plays next week on Tuesday and Thursday, both at 6:15. Everyone's invited!

Best Mother's Day Ever
Today was probably one of the best Mother's Days ever. Paul and the kids got me a flash drive on which Paul organized ALL of our digital photos. It has really been nice to be able to look at all the old pictures of the kids! Wow, they've grown!!! And Levi's face has shrunk! I didn't realize (or remember) how chunky he used to be.
Paul and the kids all got me cards too. Addi even wrote "Mommy" in her best handwriting on her envelope! Then I was surprised to wake up this morning to the smell of sausage cooking! Paul fixed me a sausage biscuit for breakfast and went and got me a cold caffeine-free Dr. Pepper (my favorite these days!). I have been so blessed by my family in so many ways! Today was just great!
After church this morning we went to Habaneros for lunch and it was delicious. Then we went by the nursing home to visit PaPa. That was the worst part of the day. It's gotten to where it's hard to even get him to wake up for a visit. He did smile when he saw Addi though. The hardest part is when Addi looks at me and says, "But PaPa used to could say my name."
After the nursing home Addi and I went back to my mom and dad's where we lazed around the rest of the day. I spent half the afternoon just laying on the bed talking to my mom....what a great Mother's Day!!!

Happy Mother's Day!
I probably won't get another chance to post before Mother's Day, so I'm sending my well wishes early.
First of all, Happy Mother's Day to my mom. I feel so blessed to have a mom that I can always count on and always have. Even though we live a whole 8 minutes away, I still feel the need to call my mom almost every day. It just doesn't feel right not to touch base, even if just for a moment. (Pregnant women really shouldn't do emotionals posts because I'm making myself cry already). I could sit here and type all day and never be able to tell just how great my mom is. I know that she is partially that way because she learned from a great mom, her own mother, my MaMa Melton. Even though she has been gone from this earth for almost 9 years now, she still holds a huge part of my heart. I think of her often and how proud she would have been of my own children. MaMa didn't have a huge amount of earthly goods, but she always made sure we were taken care of. Not that mom and dad didn't take care of us, but she always liked to take care of the "extras" like clothes, pictures, spending money, and anything else that she thought we might like. I still think of her often and even more so since Addi was born because I can see her in my mom so much...with all the extras! Anyway, I'm going to stop now before I get too upset. I just want to say I love you, mom! And I hope that one day I'll be just as great a mom of three as you and MaMa were!
I would be amiss if I didn't also mention my mother-in-law. I have been blessed with so many examples of Godly mothers. Genie is such a great mother-in-law and I thank God that she raised such a wonderful husband and father in Paul. My life would be so much different if Genie had made other choices in her life. Thanks Genie, for Paul, and for making me feel like part of your family.
To all you mothers out there, HAPPY MOTHERS DAY!!!!

Stubborn Baby Girl?
We weren't able to get a definitive answer on the ultrasound today, but the technician (who seemed to really know what she was doing) "thinks" it's a girl!!! She said she saw NOTHING to make her think boy at all, just didn't get a good enough look to say girl for sure. SO, we're going to buy pink stuff for now (and keep the receipts!). I'm beginning to feel pretty confident that this baby is indeed a girl. We'll have another ultrasound in about 8 weeks, but until then we're going to "think" she's a girl!!!
In good news though, the doctor says the baby is measuring perfectly and everything else looked normal. I had gained back 3 pounds so that puts me still at 7 pounds below starting weight. Note that I will not be posting about my weight when I start packing it on.... :-) Paul kindly told me tonight that I'm starting to look "like you're with child." Well, thanks....I think.

New Changing Table
Tuesday, May 01, 2007
I am very proud of my daughter tonight! Even though the Ladybugs suffered a terrible defeat, Addi got 4 hits!!! She only batted 4 times! She scored once and was very proud of herself!!! Woo hoo!
She also played shortstop tonight since our regular shortstop was absent. She payed much better attention than normal.
I wish I had taken the video camera!! Well, enough bragging for now!
Only one week until our big ultrasound!!!
